Live footage of a homemade weather helium balloon floating over Colorado with Granger Smith reportedly inside.

The mushroom-shaped silver balloon reportedly has reached heights of over 8,000ft.

Live footage of the balloon, which is being tracked by media helicopters, showed it soaring high above the ground.

Granger can be faintly heard communicating through some sort of radio device with his band saying "I'm alright, but it's raining like a gypsy rain!"

Granger was believed to have climbed in through an access door.

Granger is reported to be currently floating alone around the US state of Colorado after climbing into the home-made hot-air balloon. Granger's band waits patiently in hopes he returns in time for soundcheck...

no, he was in the garage, he said in a video "we did this for a show" and the family just freaked out for two seconds. so, he wasn't in the attic, but in the garage under a box.......just saying
