  • Charles Darwin spent years and years on an expedition whose mission was to charter rivers and such. It's always good to explore the world around us. It always pays off many-fold.

  • If you have to ask if space exploration is worth it, then you have no idea what it is about.

  • Not to mention the necessity for planet hopping. One way or another, we are likely going to have to leave this planet one day if we want to survive as a race.

  • def worth it, the moon has helium-3 which can be utilized in fusion reactors which are being developed today- a space shuttle load of this can power the whole of US for 1 yr

  • Y'know, when a species achieves the ability to split the atom and land on other worlds, they later gain the knowledge of faster-than-light travel. Later is 50 years. 2019, is that year. Or earlier, if I start building my prototypes early. The electron-gamma vortex manipulator will tear a hole in time and space, and allow passage to other worlds.
