I remember seeing those locomotives on the Dublin-Rosslare line when I was a kid. Wish I could have been on that trip. Well done on the video!! Excellent job!!

  • why are there a pile of A classes boarded up are they gone into storage

  • Something like this should nearly be given to the national archives for historical value in the future

  • i was actualy the driver who drove this train from rlare std to waterford that day and later i was sent a video of the whole journey never knew by who if you do happen to see this thanks.

  • My Father served his time as a Diesel fitter from 1954-59 working mostly on the A&C class when they had those terrible crossley HST Vee 8's. They were still under warranty at that time. The best move CIE did in the 60's was re-engining them with emd's. The australian railways weren't so fortunate and were stuck with those horrible crossleys until the bitter end.

  • I think I saw myself at 3:35. 14 years later, thanks for recording this.

  • Wonderful. Surely there must be more Metro-Vick footage around?

  • Fantastic video, nice one for sharing it with us

  • A39 . i have a special memory of that train . brilliant film as always .
