  • Is he related to a dominic nguyen?

  • @theindiewii Not sure.

  • I'm in high school, in the 10th grade. And I am not all that great at math, but can get past it. Can I as well still get by? All I really want to be is be a video game modeler for DICE and create the levels and the props in the games. I am somewhat experienced with modeling and have some experience with textures and music.

  • @wrm186 hard to say. I was in the Film program, not much math there. But there is supposed to alot of math involved when it comes to programming. I recommend checking out thecreativeitch here on youtube. Maybe he can be of more assistance than I am. Hope all goes well.

  • i have a passion for gaming since i was a kid but im just terrible at math. could i survive?

  • @MrMeineNamen Its possible, but from what i have been told, the math is really tough.

  • Freaking...sweet...Full Sail, here I come!

  • I'm going to Full Sail in June to become a Game Dev and I kinda suck at math but I can learn I know it. As long as I use all the resources that are available and study hard, I'll get it. So math doesn't scare me and don't let it scare you (person who feels the same way).

  • Blue balls .......hahaha

  • What about geometry? Algebra and Cal I can get pass, but that geometry. I failed the first time I took it and I am currently taking it again. I'm just trying to reach calculus before I go off to Full Sail, but the problem is for some reason I wont learn something unless absolutely necessary on the road of becoming and designer for sucker punch.

  • balls haha fuunny lol

  • @MetalShin0bi thanks man im thinking about starting online courses in the spring

  • @Ale6ander579 Everything is going smoothly. I had to study at least 10 times harder than most in my class but because of it, I'm up with them in my math skills. Now we are working on coding and I tell you, it's really tedious but addictive. If you hate coding for hours on end, then this is may not be for you. It's rewarding in the end for me. As far as the teachers go, they are very helpful as long as you ask questions. Quite chill. Winter Park/Orlando, Fl, sucks though, imo.

  • @MetalShin0bi you commented about a year ago how did it go

  • Is this for real?

  • @MrMeineNamen well you can be a level designer and many other things that have nothing to do with math

  • @UnknownEncryption ya i was hoping to minor in game development or animation but my math is only average in highschool haha just barley surviving as it is

  • @MrMeineNamen with a premade game engine like UDK or Cryengine 3 without needing to know crazy math

if you want to make your own game engine programming the physics and alll the other crazy things yea you will need math
