Since the Pere Marquette run is only 4 hours long, they often tack on engines that have just been worked on in Chicago in addition to the regular power, to test run them.

Because if you live in Metro Grand Rapids, passenger trains come but once a day. Sad state of affairs for the state of Michigan -- that the state only provides for Amtrak Service, what about metro service for Grand Rapids?
