I am a photographer. I just bought my first mac. I travel around the country on a Motorcycle so I bought the MacBook Air to save space. Then to my surprise Photoreflect (what I use to upload and storefront my work) does not run on Mac. Would you consider running Parallels and Windows 7 a reasonable solution? Or should I dual boot? Thanks in advance for your help.

i think that this operating system is not mac, i think it's linux ???

Windows may suck, but not nearly as much as somebody who visits "My Anime List" and uploads videos of their computer on YouTube.

im just curious that which mouse you were using?

Do you notice any significant lag when running both operating systems at the same time? I'm a college student and I need to run windows for my classes.
Thanks.

Can you do a tutorial on how to install Window's via Parellels on your MBA?
Thanks!

Everyone thats wondering, just get the maxed out MBA it will be fine because the Flash storage makes up for not having an i5 or i7...the 4GB of RAM is plenty for most people...and about only 256GB Flash...if you need a lot of space foe video stuff then just get and external hard drive. And then u might want 2 get another for backup because those old HDs are risky!

@gabva1 4GB.
also, do you think the AIR in this configuration, has enough power to run numerous programs at once / video editing software / audio studio software / outlook on the windows side ith heavy plug ins etc? Sluggish at all? Considering maxed out AIR, but then start thinking MB Pro for power. The size and weight of the AIR is a marvel of modern science to me and just about the coolest thing on the planet, so that is what I really want...

@TPICoverage Run numerous programs at once, not a problem. However, it is still let down by its weak CPU/GPU when you run video editing software such as Final Cut. For the majority of tasks as shown in my SSD video, it can probably outrun a MacBook Pro i7 without an SSD. However, when you start doing anything CPU intensive, the MBP is the obvious better choice. The MBA's a marvel of modern Science, and I rarely edit movies, so for me, a Uni student, the MBA is the ultimate machine.

@mingyishi Cool. Thanks for the reply. Minimal video editing other than home vids I have been saying I was gonna convert but couldn't figure out how. I'm a mobile heavy business user and need to multi task with multiple programs and not bog down. I am a church musician and like to record demos for the band when writing songs, but nothing more than 16 tracks. Sounds like a fit. Maybe.

@TPICoverage I think you will find the MacBook Air very suitable for your needs. I have services in my church too and I often have to carry my computer around. The MacBook Air is just so much lighter than the MacBook Pro, the tradeoff of a weaker CPU/GPU is worth it for your needs. I run run iMovie pretty good in it, and I think it's the better machine for you.
