Day 3 Thursday July 8 - 6 hour drive from Tuscon, Arizona to White Sands, New Mexico near Alamogordo

1. Las Cruces - Visitor Center (211 N. Water St. - lascrcescvb.org) Old Mesilla Plaza (Lunch)

2. White Sands - Visitor Center 8am - Big Dune Trail near entrance 45 minutes loop to 60 foot tall one - 16 mile Dunes Drive Loop-
Hike: Alkali Flat Trail 4.6 mile round trip - ALL HIKERS MUST REGISTER at the trailhead
