The SOS Save Our Station Rally was held at Malabar Police Station on Sunday 5 July 2009 and was well supported by the local community. Speakers who addressed the Rally were Campaign Organiser Carlos Da Rocha, Mayor of Randwick City Council Bruce Notley-Smith, Councillors Robert Belleli, Anthony Andrews and Charles Mathews and a number of community representatives who all spoke strongly of the need to keep the Malabar Police Station open 24/7 to protect the south eastern suburbs.
