Occupy Seattle - Legal Observer Assaulted by Police: 10/17/11

While videoing the arrest of Debra Lynn Peardon on the morning of 10/17/11, I was forced to the ground by two Seattle Police Department bicycle patrolmen using their bikes as weapons. One bike officer shoved his handlebars into my stomach, while the officer behind me (T. Willoughby #5560) pushed at my lower legs with his bike, causing me to fold at the knees. That officer then claimed I had grabbed his bike, which isn't physically possible as I don't have an arm growing out of my back. I was totally surrounded and they were very hostile to my recording this arrest. I was singled out and taken down to stop my recording. Please spread this as far as you can. Please record the police and be safe. Do not let them intimidate you. Power to the People!
