-
thanks for the ideas... will start planting like this not just for my benefit but for the benefit of saving our earth.

Excellent stuff! This sort of reforestation, needs to be worldwide! :-)

yeah dude Geoff's property is located near a place called The Channon, NSW, Aus, which boasts sub-tropical conditions in summer and mild temperate conditions in winter (you can read that as 100% abundance!)

Believe me there is plenty of tucker - even in the second year the ground covers produce lots of food (notice the pumpkin vine for example).
Towards the end Geoff was saying that once in the 2-3rd year there isn't a lot of maintenance other than helping the recycling of organic matter, most of it woody material, using a short edged tool. So for example if you planted pigeon pea (a nitrogen fixing tree) in the first year it is a good idea to heavily prune every 6 months or so

where's the proof? i didn't see any food! also, what does he say in the last 30 sec, that you have to add or remove more organic matter, can't quite understand it..
WOW - this is a fantastic video - how long from start to finish with all the different dates of filming? 2 and a half years??

@chrispyt77 Glad you like it, the video was actually only filmed over a week. Geoff and his interns plant a food forest on the property 3 to 4 times a year now so there are examples at all stages to use!

awesome vid indeed. since when were you working on this?

@molapft we shot this at zaytuna. There was a great opportunity to show each stage because there is a new food forest planted by students virtually every few months!
