None of us know if the thug was armed or not. Also most police vehicles have shotguns in them as a secondary weapon, and on top of it all a 2 ton vehicle can be a deadly weapon if it is in the hands of a desperate criminal. Good job officer!!

@samsonpker They've shot people who are running in cars before plenty of times. A car is a weapon in the wrong hands regardless of the type or owner. There is nothing in this video to suggest he did it just because "he was in police car" and making that assumption is just ignorant..

@aczblaze wtf are you talking about??? he stole a cop car, and started to drive away!!! do you have any idea how many weapons they keep in a cop car? maybe he should have thought about what he did before he did it! you would think if you steal a cop car and the cop is standing right in front of you aiming a pistol at you telling you multiple times to stop, that you would have enough brains to stop! the cop was not in the wrong. he had every chance to stop... when will people grow up?!?

Cop had no legal right to shoot unless he was in front of vechicle and life was in danger but he was on driver side door and shot without PC!

@MsBigbang29 Cars can still drive with no tires... losing a windshield does what???... and shooting him in the leg? Seriously? Wounding someone doesn't stop them from being a threat. It also doesn't stop you from turning a 2 ton truck into a weapon. A man who isn't afraid of a weapon being pointed at him while trying to run in a stolen vehicle is dangerous no matter how you put it.
