A day before the one year anniversary of the Mumbai attacks, a Pakistani court has indicted seven suspects on terror charges connected to the deadly rampage.
Last year, ten gunmen stormed India's bustling financial capital city.
The coordinated bombing and shooting campaign in India's bustling financial capital left 166 people dead and hundreds injured.
In Washington, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh welcomed news of the indictments, but said Pakistan could do more to bring those responsible to justice.
[Manmohan Singh, Indian Prime Minister]:
"As far as bringing the perpetrators of Mumbai massacre to book, our position is very clear, that since the conspiracy was hatched basically in Pakistan, it is the obligation of the government of Pakistan to do everything in their power to bring these perpetrators to justice."
In the aftermath of the attacks, relations between India and Pakistan have worsened - and India suspended peace talks between the two nuclear-armed powers.
[Manmohan Singh, Indian Prime Minister]:
"I have always said that it is our strong feeling that the government of Pakistan could do more to bring to book people who are still roaming around the country freely to dismantle the infrastructure of terrorism and I can only hope that there will be progress in that area."
The seven Pakistani suspects have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
