PASSION; 4

Friday afternoon, all of my things were inside the house, and I was alone to unpack and arrange everything in the order I wanted. I walked outside of my house to the curb of the street, and took a good look at my new home.


It was a two story white house, with a dark brown roof, and brown shutters. There was a two car garage. The front had a double door entrance, and there were plants and flowers decorating the front and back. A white picket fence surrounded the property, and there even was a big apple tree for shade.


It had 5 bedrooms, and three bathrooms. A living room, and a parlor, a spacey kitchen, basement, and there even was a lanai in the back. The Wilson's had even left a back yard set of an out-door table, and four chairs with a large multi-colored umbrella. And the best part was...they even included a four person hot tub!


It was a quarter past one, and I still hadn't eaten lunch. My stomach grumbled and I bit my lip. Hmm, what did I have to eat? I went inside the house, and removed my slippers. Searching throughout the refrigerator, all I could find was a loaf of bread, and ham and cheese. I sighed and quickly made myself a sandwich.


Taking note of the beautiful day outside, I went to the backyard, and sat at the table, with a glass of ice cool lemonade.


Enjoying the fresh air, I took another bite of my sandwich. Then I heard something nearby. Concentrating more on the sound, I heard it coming from my neighbor, the house next to mines. I listened intently to the alluring melody. Someone next door was outside and playing an acoustic guitar. As the sound filled my ears, I got more and more curious. Whoever was playing, was clearly talented in their skill at the guitar.


I stood up, and quietly made my way over to the edge of my white picket fence, and glanced over discreetly. I saw an attractive young man, he looked to be about my age, maybe a year or two older. He had curly brown locks, and strong broad shoulders. He had his back faced to me, so I wasn't able to see his face. I leaned against the fence and rested my head on my upper arms, observing the man. He was so into his guitar, that he didn't even notice me watching him.


Moments later, he began to hum along, and then sing softly to himself. Just his sound alone got me fascinated in this guy, and I hadn't even seen his face yet! The man finished his sweet song, and turned towards me.


"Shit!" I muttered under my breath and rushed to be unseen. I scurried over back to the table. But it was already too late.


"Uhm Hello?" my neighbor got up from his seat on the porch, and made his way over to the fence that separated us. He put both arms up and leaned against the fence, looking for me. His eyes landed on mines and he instantly smirked.


"Hey its you from the taxi." he grinned cheekily.


Oh great...
