I agree with this. It should be Valve that has their logo at the beginning with blood on it, not EA.

wrong. most of the advertising budget was handled by Valve. who spent plenty for L4D1's marketing costs.

EA handled most of their advertising, mostly for the X360 port.

EA = Publishing Partner (for retail)
Valve = Developer / Publisher (via Steam)
Turtle Rock Studios = Neither, bought by and completely absorbed into Valve BEFORE L4D even becomes an official project.

but turtle rock was bought by valve a long time ago
