Highway Junction Simulation

Winner of 8th Annual Forum 8 VR contest Grand Prix:
Metropolitan Highway Company, Kanagawa Bureau.

Software exhibited: UC-win/Road

Project Description: The newly completed exit of the Metropolitan bay-coast express way at the Ishikawa-cho junction on Yokohane line was open to the public on November 21st 2007, on the day of the contest, at 15:00. Direct access makes it more convenient for commuters. The region evolved from a mere coastal line to well-known tourist spots in Yokohama such as Chinatown, Yamashita park, and Kannai district where clustering of main government agencies occur.

UC-win/Road shows with high detail, the possible access routes. This VR simulation model has been used for project announcement and explanation during meetings, using displays of exit routes, signs and videos on the homepage. As compared to the actual developmental works, the visualization have proven to reflect a high degree of realism.
