The UK Youth Parliament aims to give young people of the UK, between the age of 11 and 18 a voice, which will be heard and listened to by local and national government, providers of services for young people and other agencies who have an interest in the views and needs of young people. The UKYP has a rolling programme. UKYP meet on an annual basis, and give the young people of the UK a chance to express their views and concerns at the highest levels. The UKYP was launched at the House of Commons in July 1999. The first ever Annual Sitting was held in February 2001 in London.
This film was the result of a collaboration between Gloucestershire MYPs (members of Youth Parliament), UKYP Participation Worker CJ Phelps and new media artist Al Pagan.
