  • As far as I know, they haven't sold Tim Hortons cakes since 2001. Well, at least, that's the last time I ever saw one.

  • I remember when Timmies sold cakes. When my parents would take us in there, as kids, (and that def wasn't often) my sisters, brother, and I used to love watching the cakes go round, in the spinning display case. And we rarely ever bought a cake from there. In fact, I think the only time I ever remember my dad buying one, was for my mom's birthday, one year. The only time I ever bought one, PERSONALLY, was their short-lived coffee-cake in 2001, as a table dessert for my uncle's wedding.

  • @habs4life9 I wasn't contradicting you in the first place,I was just making a point of observation.

  • @landrykkb i never said they were not getting business. they made the change to get MORE business, because corporate assholes sacrifice tradition and homeliness for the sake of more capital. of course they were already rich, but they wanted to get RICHER because they're greedy fuckbags. fucking wake up.

  • @OofusTwillip The sad part is that the bakers got paid just the same and worked three times harder than the cashiers.

  • @habs4life9 It's not as if Tim Hortons wasn't getting any business before they expanded their menu and added soups, sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, and the like.

  • @habs4life9 - When I worked for Tim's (1980s), things were NEVER made from frozen! Each location baked and decorated ALL products in-house. True, we used mixes for efficiency and to ensure identical product at all locations. I even remember one day, when there was a blackout, the boss hauled the gas-powered deep-fryer over near the kitchen door, opened the door for light, and he & the bakers kept making donuts. Tim's is so lazy now, & stuff just doesn't taste as good as it did then.

  • @OofusTwillip they come frozen you know. damn near EVERYTHING is taken out of the freezer and then put in the ovens. muffin batter - FROZEN. donuts - PRE-ROLLED, FROZEN, filled on location though which is alright. danishes, croissants - PRE-MOLDED, FROZEN. every single baked item in the store came to the location FROZEN. ALWAYS FROZEN, ALWAYS TIM HORTONS.

  • you know why they don't do cakes anymore? because the fatcats at the heead office decided they would make more profit if they became more like mcdonalds. so they brought in a line of disgusting fried breakfast food that is an exact parallel to mcdonald's breakfast and has the same amount of calories and fat. they no longer have room for stuff like this (stuff that gave timmy's its rep) because they're to busy trying to become more like mcdonalds. all for a buck. makes me fucking sick.

  • this video is EXACTLY for one year ago!

  • This was just before Tim Horton's exploded through the national stratosphere and there wasn't quite as many stores in existence as today.
