What we are viewing here in the middle of the sun is what is know as "black sun effect." Check out the following web site and it will describe it very well.

Notice that there is no reflection of the black dot on the shining snow! If it was an object, it stands to reason that there would be a shadow. On the other hand, if the sun's glare on snow, ice, water were bright enough, then the black sun effect would be present on those surfaces.

I tried to post this information on a fellow youtuber's site and he deleted all my comments and subsequently blocked me from posting anything. He believes that it is something that is going to cause doom and gloom on Mother Earth.

The youtuber that I quoted has suspended all comments! These quotes no longer appear under his post! I wonder why?

This black sun effect can also be found on a video from the Australian Antarctic Division as far back as February 2011. It's nothing new! Check it out at the following link.

I am not saying that I am right, but to me this is a very logical conclusion and it's worth putting out there for others to mull over and to decide for yourselves.

I don't believe in fear mongering and find it totally incomprehensible that others find it so enyoyable to spread fear!

  • Hi... Thanks for the email and than you for the friends request. The black dot on the sun is really getting out of hand. Keep on getting the REAL truth out there. Take care.

  • I suppose that's why the "black" holes are the brightest parts of some galaxy or whatever.

I saw this thing in old jazz clips, from 40 or 50 lets say, when the light reflecting from the saxophone gets too intense it becomes black and returns to light if the reflection becomes less direct to the lens.

  • The CCD chip in many digi camera is causing this due to the fact that it isn't able to cope with such a enormous light input. The chip senses the extreme light and blacks it out.. The halo is normal as well. The sensor in your camera is protecting itself from the intense light. Just like eyes cameras use optics. You cannot stare at the sun too long U will get eye damage. watch /watch?v=PC2xo76C8rw- I do not see a reflection of the actual disc of the sun on the ground so how can we see the dot?
