  • Great job of recording for the time, there are guys today with more sophisticated cameras who still can't shoot very well!

  • @Starboard76 Thanks for your comment!

  • AWESOME video. Thanks so much for posting. Amazing footage, and we all need to keep in mind that this was long before the days of cell phone cameras etc which now make archiving so much easier.

Again, thank you for sharing this wonderful piece. :)

  • Thank you for recommending your other video. You are so lucky to have flown for TWA and Pan Am - they were THE airlines then. I remember at the end of my days at AA we started international flights through the pacific, and we used to stand in the lines at Customs with out uniforms giving us wedgies and our hair a mess (and stinking of cigarette smoke) and the Pan Am girls used to walk by looking like absolutely resplendent in the blue uniform. Made us international novices so jealous!

  • @bdrake79 Thank you for your comment!

  • @antoniogooding Thank you watching it! We all felt so lucky and proud to fly or work for that great airline. We are family.

  • @americanLAX42 No. I flew out of New York to Europe and on to Honk Kong as the farthest point. Flights to the Carribean were handled by the crews flying the South American runs.

  • Did you used to work on the Boeing 720B? It used to do Pan Am's Carribean and Latin America flights. They were bought from us at American Airlines in about 1962.

  • I was in junior high school 1963-1965 in New York. Upon graduation I visited the Pan Am & TWA terminals at JFK, became enamored by the sophistication and glamour of the in-flight personnel that I became a flight steward in my heart at the tender age of 14.

That passion manifested itself to the recruiters & I was hired by and flew for Pan Am as a flight attendant/purser 1973-1984.

Thank you so much for paving the way for me to realize my dream job & thanks for the awesome video!

    Antonio

  • I was very fortunate to have flown with Pan Am. I wish it was still around!
