Mike Barnicle Finally Gets A Clue: Suskind Interview

On Hardball while talking to Ron Suskind about his new book The Way of the World, Mike Barnicle says this:

"..but in reading this book and these charges that are laid out here because in my background from covering like city stuff for years I can't help but come to the conclusion at the end of this book, this book is basically charging the President of the United States or the Vice-President of the United States with being an accessory before the fact to four thousand murders and more in Iraq. They lied us into war according to this book."

So Barnicle you're just now figuring that out?

he actually didnt uncover the habbush letter story until he was almost done writing the book. he has talked about this in interviews. if the book had come out in 2007, there would be no 'forgery' story in the book.

and lastly, why the fuck is the media asking the Bush Administration or reporting on "what they claim" about this book? Of COURSE they're gonna say "We didn't lie." Do you really think the people who got us in this war are gonna admit the reasons for it had no basis in fact??  God, our media is fucking stupid. Mainstream media needs to get a life.

Call me a cynic, but I think Suskind is just trying to make money, get a little fame and tv time, and profit off the fact that it's an election year, and most Americans want us out of Iraq. Why would he take this long to publish the book?? I'm sure he got access to this info years ago but waited until just the right moment to be a sleaze.

And I'm a little leery believing what this Suskind guy says, not because it's unbelievable Bush could've lied but because he's making this book NOW. The last books that were published saying Bush lied were I think in 2005 or 06. It's now years later, and for him to take this long to supposedly get access to forged documents showing the Bush Admin. told the CIA to lie about the links between al-Qaeda and Saddam is a bit odd. Why couldn't he have gotten access to this earlier?

Does anyone know if Ken Timmerman has any credibility? The guy makes a lot of interesting charges about "shadow warriors" in the CIA, State and Defense Depts. and claims Bush DIDN'T lie. I dunno. He seems to make a good case if it's true, but I haven't found any sources through google that claim he's a liar. Of course, not many people seem to have heard of his Shadow Warriors book. Even Fox News hasn't interviewed him, believe it or not!

While it's not unreasonable to suggest the administration lied about the WMDs and links to al Qaeda, there seem to be an awful lot of good arguments from the right saying that we're just mistaken, and the administration has done a bad job in trying to prove Saddam really was going after WMDs. People claim David Kay lent credence to the Lefties, but others, so I hear, say that they just haven't read his whole report, and they actually have found some WMDs. I'm not quite sure.

There should be hearings about this. If what Suskind's book says happened is true, Bush should be impeached.

Suskind is right. This country cannot move forward without outing the corruption of the Bush administration and bringing them to them to justice. Time to take back our country!
