I guess that Zombies brought more variety to the format, but their ascent to top tier was bad for me, personally.

The thing with Zombies is that they can wait until they have the cards for their OTK, then OTK you. Usually, there's not much you could do to stop it. That sort of forces players to play faster decks to make sure that Zombie players can't set up their OTKs.

ya but its still slower than last environment... synchro cat was way faster than zombies. and ya they CAN otk but they normally win by picking at your lifepoints with floater monsters like goblin zombie cuz ur opponent wont want to waste cards to get rid of them, and then when their life is lower they make a large push for game.

Well, that's not what I considered to be the "last environment." I was referring to the period after the most recent ban list and before Hidden Arsenal.

However, I can agree that this meta is slower, seeing as how early OTKs are very hard to pull off.

What I liked about last meta was that people would commit to the field often, which would leave them open to tricks that Junk and Debris can pull off.

Now, however, practically no decks can consistently stand up to the top decks.

very true, but then again if other decks could stand up to these decks... wouldnt they just be considered top decks? take zombie for instance... last format that woulda been a rogue deck but now it can compete... making it tier one

I suppose you're right. I just like to play unknown decks at my locals, and last format I actually stood a chance with them.

Zombies can be broken, but overall they are fair.

I think they definitely need to limit burial and for sure bronic.
