Grey Gerling (www.barfquestion.com) has created a completely hand-animated video for the I Fight Dragons song "The Faster The Treadmill."

Follow the adventures of Puddlenaut as he defeats legions of bad guys and faces down the final boss. He has a shark instead of an arm, and carries a deadly harpoon.

However, one of the 'bad guys' is not so sure he wants to play his part in this game. Little Fetasaur finds himself idolizing Puddlenaut and questioning his purpose in a world that doesn't seem to give him many options.

  • @Ravenheart585 but he's kind of right, I mean the lyrics says it literally..

  • @baconpicker02 I'm going to make it when I have some spare time :D

  • @Ravenheart585 Death of the author. Any song, text, movie or method of human expression CAN have meaning. This meaning is dictated by the individual. To some it could be meaningless, to others it could mean something more. Ultimately, there is no 'right' or 'wrong' 'meaning.' Your world view is simply too structuralist at this stage to recognise this. I know plenty of songs that mean nothing to me. Look up some Red Hot Chilli Peppers lyrics, most are gibberish that rhymes.

  • @slothking533 You're one of those people that insist that EVERY song has a hidden meaning and is meant to decipher, aren't you?

  • Is this a cover? Because I could swear I've heard it before

  • @Fan0fBvB omg sames :')

  • @Elazam I could go into more detail with reference to the song and video but I have a word count limit.

  • @Elazam Aside from the inherent beauty of the song itself, you may be aware of the deeper meaning in this song; it is about the adversity we all face in trying to achieve or dreams in a society which values financial 'success' more than being happy with our lives. People tell us what to do and we end up in a job we don't enjoy, with people telling us it's our only option leading to a monotonous existence (sun goes up, down) yet at the same time there is beauty to life in possible escape.

  • awesome

  • I've cried at 2:57 --'
