If you 'Google': HQ-2006-48, you can read the actual FRA / NTSB Accident Investigation Report on this collision for yourself. Most modern mainline freight & passenger locomotives are equipped with video cameras - such as in this case - for investigation & litigation purposes. (By the way, the screen turned blue because the collision - which occurred at a relative closing speed of 60 MPH - took out the camera. However, there are other sites where this video is posted where the sound continues.

@ccrimsonfox Not to condone his use of cocaine - quite the opposite, but the FRA report also states: "The conductor of the eastbound train's use of cocaine may have contributed to the cause of the accident. However, the toxicological results do not allow a conclusion concerning either possible impairment or when the drug was taken."
There were 2 other crew members in that cab, who tested negative for drug use, & who also failed to obey a stop signal; which was the "probable cause" of this.
