@Berthahope
I had never imagined that he brought me many happiness and memories when I met him at Red Blazer, Too. I was a vocalist of Sol Yaged's and Leonard was bassist of Sam Ulano's.
Happy New Year!!!

I misunderstood. I am so glad you sent me this video----now I understand and remember how close you were.It was very tender. You brought back the reality of the performance at the nursing home for me. Thank you. Happy New Year!!!

Wow. This is so special. Leonard and I were dear friends. He taught me so much about bass playing, be a professional and ... really everything. He drove me to get my first upright bass, and i have the canvas case he used in the 50s. it is one of the most precious possessions I have. Leonard and I recorded together a collection of poetry and jazz, and it remains one of the most memorable moments in my life. Thanks you for this wonderful tribute ... Richard

That was a wonderful and touching tribute. Leonard would be smiling ear to ear. I miss the many conversations we had. He and Cecil Payne were good buddies of my Dad .They grew up in Brooklyn together. Long live the music of Leonard Gaskin.
