Because the sport is a GLOBAL game. MLS is seen as a joke by the rest of the world because everything we touch has to be Americanized. Until the sport is adopted into a league that isn't "MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER," then people might actually support American teams and leagues. Were just not a desirable place for the best of the best to come play yet. I'm an Arsenal fan, American, and have never once watched a full MLS game because MLS sucks. Until the game here can compete, people won't care.
