pour Cissy 97.tu sois bien gatee de chanter sous la direction de herr Schrier. Furthermore give it all you've got,as he gets older (he's 85 now I believe) he is more tolerant of performers who love music and is not so worried about their singing:)

Schreier 's purity of tone, clarity of diction and perfect interpretation of the music is unparalleled in the history of German lyric tenor singing. If you liked this try to find a recording of Winterreise where he is accompanied by Sviataslav Richter. Pour moi son interpretation en latin du Sanctus , avec Charles Munch au baton,dans la grande messes des morts de Berlioz est meme meilleur .Merci elegant 110.

I don't know whether I love his voice, either as a youth or as an adult, or his conducting, more. His Bach roles are too awesome for mere men to comprehend. One of his St. Matthew Passions (BWV 244), where he both conducted and sang the Evangelist's tenor is too fabulous to describe, it has to be experienced to even begin! His 6th piece in the 2nd cantata of the 6-cantata work Weihnactsoratorium, BWV 248, the tenor aria, "Frohe Hirten, eilt, ach eilet," has heaven's wings! Gold standard!!!
