In the parish of Our Lady of Mercy, in the municipality of Ourém, was installed an eolic park with wind-generators made by the german company Enercon GmbH, model E-70, that produces 2.000 kW of energy. With the power of the wind, the circular velocity of the rotor may overcome 200 km/h. In the Maciço Calcário Estremenho, in the parishes of Saint Mamede, municipality of Battle, and Minde, municipality of Alcanena, also were installed similar machines, from the german company Repower AG, model MM92. In the parish of Alqueidão da Serra, municipality of Port of Millstone, were edificated the firsts wind-generators of the region of Fatima, made by the german company Nordex AG, the model N-90.

Vasco Jorge Rosa da Silva, Georg Schmidt, is a researcher in Local and Regional History, History of Science in Portugal [astronomy], Military History and History of Portuguese Limestone Massif, which includes the Natural Park of Sierra of Air and Lamps. Responsible for reading and transcription paleographic, unpublished, of "Memories of Ourém Parish", 1758. Finishing a doctoral dissertation on the "History of the Astronomical Observatory of the University of Coimbra: 1772-1910". He is also friend of Federal Republic of Germany, FRG.
