On November 21st and 22nd 2001 Yes visited the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam and gave 2 concerts ... the 2nd one ... was filmed and is now on this video.

Even without keyboardist Rick Wakeman (replaced here by the skillful Tom Brislin), the veteran members (vocalist Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, drummer Alan White, and guitarist Steve Howe) are masters of their prog-rock domain.

The addition of the young, photogenic European Festival Orchestra offers a glorious expansion of the Yes sound.

It's back to 1972 with "And You And I". Played live a zillion times but never lost it's charisma. In the multi-camera angle you can see animation with 2 robots.

If you haven't seen this, you ain't seen nothing yet.

  • I am a 16 year old girl. My dad never stops talking about this band, and I finally let him show me what this "amazing band" is all about.

(first thought that went through my head was obviously 'oh god, this is going to be some stupid band that i'm going to have to listen to and lie to my dad and say that they're good so he isn't offended.')

this is the first video he showed me, and I can't stop listening to them. I'm hooked. THIS is what real music's all about. <3

  • What can anyone say to this? Apart I'm glad I got to know their music early 70s and still love it.

Brings me in a mood like nothing else can and not because of nostalgia. It's just very very good music and part of our cultural history.
