Stupid analysis. If it were a political vote, nobody from Eastern Europe would ever vote for Russia. Learn history of those countries, looser.

It can be a cultural vote, cause Easterners fancy slightly different music then Westerners. But then what do you expect? There are more Easterners on this continent then Westerners. Sorry, democracy rules :))))

A lot of the voting is politcal. All the eastern bloc countries always vote for one another and poland hardly ever give points to germany for obvious reasons. Im from UK and I remember that for one of our entries (I cant remember the exact year) we ended up with 0 points completely. Though the majority of people were saying that the war on iraq was to blame, not the song.
