@smilepuppy321 The song clearly says we have overcome by the BLOOD OF JESUS. It also says greater is HE that is in me than he that is in the world which clearly refers to JESUS. The song DOES NOT say we are champions in our own right. Or, didn't you actually listen to the words of the song before posting?

@scribe712 We celebrate the victory in christ-when we r weak, He is strong, though there is nothing good in us, because of christ we can have the goodness through his Spirit, & words. Even Paul said there's nothing proud about in me, but because of the presence of the christ, I am confident in christ.

This kind of confidence only comes from flesh- crucifying christians, nothing to do w his/her born nature of own.We r only victorious when we abide in the word & spirit of Christ . don't trustself

@scribe712 May god open yr eyes to see how solemn nature is to be a real "Christian". Christ was the first martyr, his 12 disciples were also martyred. Real mature christians r living sacrifice in every moments of their life to do god's work, will. If being a christians is all about being a champions, fighting every where to be rich, famous, divorces, everywhere like nowadays, because they r born-Champions, don't learn to die on flesh, why Jesus said, "carry yr cross & follow me? "

@scribe712 Because Christ overcame the world, we r victorious ONLY when we R led by the Holy Spirit, do the work of god denying our sinful nature, crucifying our flesh, greed, wickedness every moment on the cross. But when we started misunderstand this concept & think we R the natural born- champions, not dying on our flesh, our works r the fruits of the flesh. Get it? God is spirit, christians r to be sanctified to be Holy Spirit's vessel to do his work, requires much sacrifice. prize in hevn

If you want to walk around with your head hung down acting as if you're a loser, that's your choice. But the rest of us prefer not to.
