Awesome video! People need to get rid of the misconception that lower spending automatically means less aid. Much of government spending (on all levels) isn't going to actual aid but rather bureaucracy, meaningless projects, and unions. Instead of just throwing money at the problem, government (all levels) should focus on addressing the government factors that have undermine individual success and have negatively affected costs and affordability for essential goods and services.

Nice wake tune!!!
Eliminate FED, Dept of Ed(recent addition to gov't function & school scores down), Dept of Energy (recent addition-energy supplies in US down), shrink Homeland Security - all states could shrink Education Dept by 50%. Raise retirement age and reduce amount of payouts to all public sector pensions or go broke soon - heck most are broke now.

@Infantry9 I love your comment because you are exactly right smaller government and less spending means more in the private economy which allows it to grow and create jobs faster and at lower cost than government ever can. I like proposition 101 in Colorado as another example of how we can ask our government to operate on less.

Dude, it's been two years! Where have you been? :)
As for all the charges you've laid against corruption, I don't think it's gonna make much of a difference. I can't speak for Mass. since I'm not from around there, but I am very pesimisstic about this midterm election.
I would love to see some follow-up videos to dig deeper into some of those numbers. It's a lot of information packed into a single short video. Also, some factual counter points to the deliberate deceptions by people like Steve Crawford, where he spins the amount to say "half of what we spend on education" -- the truth is that the entire reduction is equal in size to half of the state funding portion of local aid (chapter 70). It's deliberate mixing of terms and confusing of the amounts.

@libertymeister We can certainly dig deeper, so far I have yet to see anything from the opposition that is actually genuine. They can make all sorts of crazy statements. Like "2.5 billion is what we spend all all government administrative functions". It would be technically correct, but just as meaningless.
I don't know if people really are interested in the detailed budget analysis, my job was to illustrate how much money is really being spent and the growth of spending.
