BIO:
As a professional artist and musician Jon MacLennan is wasting not time on the road to success. Currently working on his second independently funded record entitled Dreams. The follow up to his debut record "Suspicious Love" released in 2006.

Jon has already performed and recorded with a panoply of L.A.'s finest musicians. "I feel so blessed to have accrued the friendships and accolades I have, at such an early stage of my career" Jon states. He is proving himself a true songwriter and musician creating melodies with powerful force and unequivocal grace. Merged with arrangements and lyrics that pertain to this generation, the world, and personal things.

Jon hopes to evoke feelings of love, hope, peace, faith, and loss through his music. Jon has had years of performing in and around L.A. with a plethora of different artists. Which in turn has culminated into a number of recording sessions for other artists as well. Jon did his first session at a Grammy-award winning studio at the age of 16!

Anyone who has had the chance to see Jon live is immediately moved by the way his true love for the music translates in every aspect of his performance.

  • thanks so much i went to like 10 videos and this is the only one that actually taught me thanks :)

  • @jonmaclennan in the last part what strings do i pluck

  • Dylan hornyak from gridley says show the rest of the freaking chords. Who cares about the intro and stop nodding your head

  • How do you build up speed in this song cause i can't . my strings are steel on my acoustic guitar. Plus my index nail keeps breaking off. My instrcutor told me to practice playing chords fast and song seperately. Should broken index nail affect my fingerpicking. Very frustrated about the speed!

  • classical guitarist refer to them as P.I.M......P.

  • why do you wiggle like elvis?

  • Best youtube guitar lesson I have ever got ! Seriously ! xd.

  • And he is blond!!! Wow for blond guy he is really good! I am just joking... you did a good job!!!!!! Thanks

  • Unlike garbruce, I cannot figure it out in less than five minutes. I have not figured it out at all. According to the sheet music, I should hear seven distinct sounds per bar, but all ALL good videos, I only hear six. There should be two strings sounded together and the six single hits. I only hear five after the double stop.

    Anyone?

Anyone ragging on this young man just hasn't heard what he has out there on the web. He only has ten minutes to each this lesson. He's beyond good!
