@VUPdingCLICK What do you honestly expect when somebody ages? Can Geddy Lee sing anything before Rush's Caress of Steel album? He is physically unable to because of the fact that he's almost 60. Same thing with Ian Gillan, Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, David Lee Roth of Van Halen, and James Hetfield of Metallica. All of these vocalists, to me, had exceptional voices but now they havestarted to wane in recent years. You can't really blame them for that.

@nazzare79 i'm not knocking gillan,he's been one of the best rock vocalists ever.....(i have about 20 odd albums/bootlegs with gillan on)but the last album that had his trademark screams on was toolbox....he's been struggling for years now and the current deep purple have 'gone soft' because they are building songs around his voice-and with that set up,there can be no more fireballs/speed kings/child in time's/rat bat blue....etc.

ian gillan should pack it in/purple have to get another singer,if they want to be taken seriously,again-coverdale/hugh­es maybe?-and dont think i'm having a go at him because from 1969 to about 2000 he was one of the greatest rock singers ever(up there with plant-daltrey-mercury-halford-­rodgers).....but this just isn't good enough-and he's only singing at that-what's his screaming like,these days......?
