@ChumIsNotFum No, you are not going to die. In the very very rare and highly highly unlikely chance that you are barbed in the way that Irwin was, then yes, your life would be in mortal danger. But that would be if the barb struck you in your chest or abdominal cavity or somewhere else vital as it did with Irwin. This kind of ray would probably sting you on the arm or leg because these cownose rays don't bury themselves in the sand as the Southern and Atlantic rays in the same region do.
