Dans le prolongement de Still, fondateur de l'ostéopathie en 1892, Danis Bois, initialement kinésithérapeute et ostéopathe innove dans le domaine du soin et de la santé en créant dans les années 80 la fasciathérapie puis dans les années 90 la somato-psychopédagogie.
Aujourd'hui Danis Bois est professeur agrégé en sciences humaines et sociales à l'Université Fernando Pessoa où il dirige le Centre d'études et de Recherches en Psychopédagogie perceptive.
