he could have moved his rook between your two rooks, trading his rook and knight for one of your rooks and he would have avoided the coming checkmate

at 52 sec. you should of took his pawn

what happened at 2:17

he could of moved his rook

i think more coudve been done rather than resigning. they couldve traded pieces down to white only having 1 rook and the pawns and he couldve possibly worked his pawns down the board with the king protecting them. it might wouldve looked desperate but if he pulle d it off it wouldve been better than resigning...

Especially since he played ...BxN, in combination with ...g6
that seems total suicide! I bet he underestimated the Colle
At 3:25 black should have taken the knight with his bishop, because then the white knight is forced to take it back (or else Nxg4) rather than the f pawn (which opens up white's black-squared bishop).
Instead he left it too late and white was able to take with the f pawn giving him a much better position.

Yes, you're right ivolol. My guess is that at the time he was reluctant to give up his dk. sq. bishop (his "good" bishop) and figured the other knight would only take its place.
However, this probably would have been better as he obviously changed his mind a few moves later and I was able to take with the f pawn and open up the c1-h6 diagonal for my dk. sq. bishop as you point out. :)
