I love the Moodies but how did they ever think they could top this. It's the best version of this song available with a great solo and don't you just love that final crunching chord right at the end!!!

This is a version on its own. It would be incredibly DIFFICULT and quite frankly unfair to expect ELO to even ATTEMPT to redo the original version. It would be like expecting Queen to reperform the EXACT version of Bohemian Rhapsody. Fellow You Tubers, these songs were very very DIFFICULT to compose AND sing. THAT is why we should always cherish the original versions. They are rare gems !

Actually this was the first song that didn't use strings. It was all synths after this time.

I know, my comment about strings was an outburst regarding some twatty earlier comments. For years I thought there was a sort of cello solo at the bridge but I listened to it again recently and realised it was a synth
