i installed ubuntu a while ago but since like never turn off my computer i didnt start it up. it wasnt until a few days after the power went out that i started it up (today). this is the 4th time i have logged on. every time i log on it freezes afterwards, so basically it froze everytime i started using it. this is the only time i recorded it

  • Damn, I have to same PC and everything. Ubuntu freezes on me too. You think it has something to do with the PC's hardware?

    it stopped freezing after i went to appearance and disabled visual effects.

    i heard it had to do with RAM but it might have to do with a bad graphics card or something. eitherway i dont really use ubuntu much, i just wanted to see what it was like

  • @tonbonthemon It blows :/ I installed ubuntu on a separate hard drive.. It's such a pain in the ass finding all the drivers for WinXP. Am downgrading from Win7. The PC that I own just doesn't quite cut it for Win7.
