I remember watching a lot of this live. I remember thinking Clemens was full of shit, and there was one old fart who was grilling McNamee, clearly in the tank for Clemens. Who was that old fart?

This "proud to be an American" turned out to be a fat fraud who lied under oath to the Congress of the United States.

It's true you didn't have a lot of fireballers back then, but there were still hard throwers. Everyone mistakingly thinks that Cy Young was a soft tosser but he was one of the hardest throwers that ever lived. There were no radar guns then so we'll never know how hard.
