I'm a french guyanese and i tell you that it is not a colony, it's just an overseas departement like glazaart has said. We are not slave it's just that we have the same goverment like france. But if we lost the french goverment we will die cause we havent got enough money to self assume us. It's like the other french West indies, or corsica or puerto rico... the puertorican got the same governement as USA but they are carribean and got their own life style. understand?
