Visit us at http://houseinspectionhelp.com/ and http://homerepair.gregvan.com/ One of the most dangerous parts of any house that I can think of would be walking on the roof. Especially, if you don't know what you're doing and haven't ever walked on a roof before. If you don't feel comfortable walking on a roof or you're afraid of heights, leave this to a professional. Even though the roof is one of the most important parts of your house, I don't advise you to go up there if you're not comfortable. This video has ideas on latter safety, what types of shoes to wear, should you walk on steep slopes and even advice on walking on different types of roofing materials.

  • Hmmm... Sometimes experienced tradespersons impart knowledge that is often only gained through years of doing the job. With safety, the rest is common sense.

If any adults watch this video, and feel that they learnt something, they must find life rather challenging.

(Not as brutal as TreeTrunk82, who left a hilarious comment...)

  • @JohnPreston888 You wouldn't believe all of the comments I get from people like you and tree dude. It might be funny to guys like you, but I knew someone who slipped off of the roof and killed themselves. Thanks again for your interesting insight.

  • @houseinspectionhelp - - - "Funny"? Well, TreeTrunk82 made me laugh, but I think you misunderstand. My point is that if someone needs to be instructed that a long string of shoelaces tied together does not constitute a viable safety harness, then that person should not be allowed to use sharp objects, and if such information is imparted in an "instructional" video, it is hard to understand who is the intended audience.

  • @JohnPreston888 That 's Okay, I wish everyone had your sense of humor and knowledge, but you would be suprised. Thanks again, for visiting my channel.
