Bee Hive and Honey comb detail; Apiary/Bee yard in Albion, St. Thomas, Jamaica; November 11, 2011.

On November 11th, 11.11.11, across the planet, documentary filmmakers, students, and other inspired citizens recorded the human experience over a 24-hour period and contribute their voice to the second annual global day of media creation called One Day on Earth.

UNDP Jamaica participated by filming one of its initiatives in Poverty Reduction Area: The Beekeping youth group in Llandewey-St. Thomas Parish, Jamaica.

The Beekeeping Group in Llandewey, St. Thomas is one of the Rural Youth Employment (RUYE) project's initiatives. The young bee farmers are in the process of being fully enabled to launch their business in honey production: A challenge totally in line with the objectives pursued by the RUYE project in Rural Jamaica.
