I agree somewhat, while some of the changes were awful, they were all essentially minor and they never bothered me that much. This is a whole other level, taking the piss is right!

This is the worst change Lucas has done by some distance, FAR worse then having Han shoot second! It's just ruined possibly the best part of the franchise and certainly the best part of ROTJ.

This has ruined the scene, not opinion but fact. There is such a thing as objective truth.

I used to get annoyed with the people who bitched endlessly about changes, because I thought the improved special effects actually made the films a lot better. (Even if some of the over-obvious CGI could've done with being toned down slightly...) BUT THIS IS JUST TAKING THE PISS. Ignoring the fact that this addition is shit, why did this even need to be changed?!

I believe, out there on the internet somewhere, there is a version of the un-cgi'd, han shot first, laser disc edition that's floating about. Find it, steal it, burn it, enjoy.

This is ass stupid as having the dying moments of Darth then someone farts on camera and adds a laugh.

This was the most important scene of the whole of Star Wars. You cannot take the most epic moment in any movie in history that is "PERFECT" , change it then expect a good reaction come on now.

Its almost cringing to watch like someone made it for one of them cheap sat night tv camera shows

@Pwells1 Comparing it to a painting also isn't quite fair in that respect. (Never mind these movies were never 100% perfect to begin with, but this is neither here nor there and I have no intention of opening up that sort of discussion.) I already said: I AGREE WITH YOU. I just choose not to go along with this level of outrage about it. The only reason i'm not buying the new set is because i own a version of the movies already. Not because of this.
