ok cool thanks. my first car was a 78 Monte Carlo with an 85 mph speedometer. I always thought it went faster but not by much.

I know trust me I worry about it daily buy my buddies dad has an 88 Comaro that's useless but the engine and tranny only have 75,000 miles and I think it has a 700r4 in it that he had built back in the day. so i'm think'n about a bad ass engine swap :P no more controlled fuel leak aka carb.

TH200 = Hand Grenade (would reconsider a 2004R from a Grand National)

@hialeahdude Yeah I have to find a new steering column and somehow get the old one out and new one in at the side of the road outside my house.
I can't move the ignition at all since its all busted up I can't it into "RUN" so I can at least shift it out of park that's my biggest concern at the moment because I can hot wire it fairly easy but dose me no good if I can't shift it out of park lol.

@hialeahdude I'd love to but I had to pawn my digital camera and the jackasses that stole my car fucked up the ignition so now I can't even turn the car over.

would these cars go faster than 85?
hialeahdude 1 year ago
@hialeahdude Yes it will, they where limited to an 85mph speedometer by the government as an effort to keep people from speeding.
I have had the car upto what I would guess was 100-105mph the needle was showing up in the area for the gas gauge, if you look behind those instrument clusters they are completely open.
