Fuck yeah, bro! Keep standing up for what's right! Pound those steroids for the King!!!
I'm a 'farang asshole' living in Thailand, and I meet Thais every day who detest lese-majeste, and some of them even have issues with the divine-like obsession with the King. So don't get too proud.
I still insist you don't have to. If you are a Thai and don't stand, you are being disrespectful. Still I am sure you won't be put in jail. Yeah..but if you insult or blame the monarchy for something in the public, in the news etc, that's something. Even if you do that at home in your family among your friends, you are still fine.
The crime rate in Thailand is not low, lots of prisoners in jails. But I guess only a few were in jail because of lese-majeste. So, don't panic!!!!

And the crowd would lynch whichever farang asshole is too obnoxious to respect the country's king.
Well, I would.
