I don't think That TOP changed completely , He just matured ! He's a Grown MAN now ! Me too I loved when he was Like in BB debuts days but Everybody change someday ! I don't think that TOP would Has debuted with YG if he wasn't satisfied with what they proposed to Him ! And I also think that If he didn't like how their music changed in 5 years he wouldn't has renewed his contract for another 5 years ! With the GD&TOP album they were able to do the music that They loved since their debut ! <3<3<3

If he wasn't content with what he's producing, he wouldn't be producing it. "Holding him back", what the hell does that even mean? His position in BIGBANG is one of the elements that makes him T.O.P. Lmao, I hate when people state that they miss the "old" BIGBANG. Do you not realise, the music that they produce fits all the members style? They're all not originally hiphop. So each album is a collaboration of combined styles.
