The iCAP 6000 Series ICP Emission Spectrometer is the golden winner of the Instrument Business Outlook (IBO) 2006 Industrial Design Award, and integrates a plasma light source, a detector, and a charge injection device.

The iCAP 6000 features an advanced, high efficiency, close coupled optical design with orthogonal fore optics, which increases the amount of light reaching the detector.

The ergonomically designed large 270-degree door allows unrestricted access to a large sample compartment and peristaltic pump, while the inner enclosure has a large viewing window for convenient observation of the plasma.

When the spectrometer displays the wavelength of a chemical substance, for example 174.272nm for nitrogen, it simultaneously measures the axis of the substance. With just a glance, it's easy to see that the higher node, the more intense the light.

In the graph, the x-axis represents the node, and the y-axis represents the light intensity in counts per second.

The database already has data for 70 elements. With a wide variety of sample introduction kits available, the instrument can analyze any type of sample.

For example, it is possible to use the instrument to analyze drinking water and determine if it contains pollutants such as organic hormones, heavy metals, and trihalomethane. The emission spectrometer can yield results as to just what particulates are in the water in just one minute.

The iCAP 6000 Series ICP Emission Spectrometer comes with accessories necessary to conduct analyses of solid substances as well.
