Sucky is adorable, is he really friendly? Or is that the way all lumpfish act? I'm involved in a project that includes researching New England fisheries, and part that is learning about the many kind's of fish that are caught. I picked the lumpfish as one to research because it looked interesting (in a weird way.) But I would have never realized how cool they are!!!

Sucky entertained a lot of people in the eight months we had him. Sadly, he died in early January. He had some personality for a fish. When he got really excited or wanted attention he would swim almost half his body length out of the water, and keep turning to watch whoever was around the tank. I never filmed that, but it was funny to watch him. I don't know if all lumpfish are as "social" as he was but he definitely seemed to like attention.
