GPS use itself "the sat signals" is free to the globe

can u play music on the archos while using the gps? and also does the archos have voice that tells u where u are and when to turn? and does that come on even when u are playing music on it too?

yea but you can only use it when you have wifi- i hiiiigggghhhhhllllllyyyyy recommend putting the google apps on it as it doesnt come with it (its rather easy with a few cmd commands just look up how to put google apps on archos 5)

not entirely sure i think its a one time $40 then maybe a monthly charge not sure though check their site im sure it has it on there somewhere- i actually got an archos 5 and am returning it...battery life=terribad :(

It doesn't need internet. It uses a gps signal, just like the kind you use in your car
