Dharma Sangha (earlier Palden Dorje, born Ram Bahadur Bomjan) was born on April 9, 1990 in Ratanpuri village, Bara district, Nepal. Ram's parents are farmers. His mother, Maya Devi was married at 12. She had 5 sons and 4 daughters. Ram was her third son. When she was in her pregnancy, she found she was unable to eat meat without becoming ill. The son, whom she named Ram, would not eat meat. He would leave the house for long intervals from an early age. Ram was always pleased to see a lama or a holy person and fastidiously imitated them. He often seemed to be lost in thought and spoke little. Whenever someone spoke to him, he would reply with a smile and would treat people of all ages equally.
@kaelj at no point do i assume anything. my point is, he is locked in the psychical in which many people are. and those same people tend to think they have found something special. I have many 'clients' who reach the psychical first and think 'this is it.' like so, he is not the only one who can see 'other beings.' these same beings come to many. myself included. Enlightenment comes when you go around them. a blind man needs them, an awakened one does not. understand?

The enlightened do not cause suffering, they pour their light into the darkest corners of society and reveal things we might not want noticed. Is it wrong to eat meat? Of course. If you've ever butchered an animal you know how it cries out to God as it suffers. Praying does nothing for their anguish. Unfortunately, most carnivores simply go to the supermarket and buy meat and have lost the connection with nature. I'm not trying to preach, because I consume meat, but I know by doing so I am cau

You acted like he said only those who dont eat meat cant attain enlightenment and no where in his speech did he say that. You also keep saying he didnt reach enlightenment, no where in this speech did he ever claim to have. More so, even if he did reach "enlightenment" its all perspective so there is no way you could say whether someone else has attained it or not. I dont know you and cant speak on your spirituality just as you dont know him and shouldnt assume.

@kaelj Did I say showing compassion determines being enlightened or not? "How can I deny or confirm any physical/spiritual experiences he has had?" When it comes to spirituality, I am no amateur. So, when you ask that question it is rather simple. enlightenment is not an experience. There is no self to capture it. But, in the psychical realm, there is all that mess. You don't think he is the only one with psychic abilities? Many get caught up in psychic stuff, few go beyond it. understand?

@linsildiedar
Because he show's compassion for all life, even animals, he is not enlightened? As a human society we treat animal's as if they are garbage. We create life and take it away for our own selfish material enjoyments. No where did he state you wont reach enlightenment, he just asks for compassion. Physical is one thing, spirituality is another, what are you talking about? How can you deny or confirm any physical/spiritual experiences he has had?

So, are you saying that one cannot reach enlightenment and be a meat eater? please. That is such rubbish. I say to all those who say such a thing, ASK GOD, not man. When one reaches enlightenment, there is no such thing as consulting no buddha or christ. you discover, you are the Buddha, you are the Christ. He is not enlightened, YET. not at all. psychical is one thing, spirituality is another.
